Method
Oven preparation: For Oven, preheat to 400°F (200°C).
Air fryer preparation: For Air Fryer, Preheat to 350°F (180°C).
Turnip preparation: Peel and trim the ends of the turnips. Slice the turnips into 0.5 cm thick fries.
Soaking: Soak the turnip fries in a bowl of ice water for 20 minutes.
Drying: Remove the fries from the ice water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Seasoning mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine oil, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Coating: Toss the dried turnip fries in the seasoned oil mixture until evenly coated.
Oven method: For oven: Arrange the fries in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
Air fryer method: For air fryer: Place the fries in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 8 minutes, shake or flip, then cook for another 5-7 minutes until browned and crisp.
Serving: Serve hot topped with parmesan cheese alongside your favorite keto friendly sauce.
